Say AYE! on Skye!

Some people know how to make their lives unforgettable and from the moment we met Alan and Genevieve, we knew their wedding was going to be really special.

Alan & Genevieve drove from Salford to my shop in Ayr to choose wedding rings. They were travelling in their campervan to Skye to plan their wedding and made the rather lengthy detour to my shop in Ayr after seeing online that we had some very beautiful handmade Scottish wedding rings.

Genevieve and Alan are such a lovely couple with a real energy of warmth and adventure. I am so glad we got to meet them in person as we had a lot of fun helping them to choose their rings. It meant so much to us that they had made a pilgrimage to our shop and we were excited to be making their rings for their unforgettable wedding on Skye.

Skye is such an incredible location for a wedding. The Fairy Pools, the distinctive outline of the Cuillin mountains and the moody Scottish weather create a fairytale experience. I feel so proud that Scotland has areas of such unique natural unspoiled beauty.

Genevieve chose a rose gold ring from our Under The Stars collection to tie in with her white and rose gold engagement ring. She personalised it with an outline of the Cuillin mountains, two stars and a moon hand engraved on the outside and the date of the wedding on the inside.

Alan chose a ring from our Hero collection. It is heated until the surface of the metal goes molten and then as it cools, unique patterns are formed. It is set with a single diamond. It also has the date hand engraved on the inside of the ring.

A few months later they made the trip again to pick up their wedding rings in person on the way back to Skye. They are the kind of people who really value personal connections and for whom, nothing is too much trouble if it adds something special to the memories that they are making together.

We loved seeing their wedding day photos and are delighted that they allowed us to share them with you. We wish them health and happiness for their lives together which I'm sure will be a wonderful adventure.

What a wonderful blog post! Genevieve is my daughter and hearing about their journey to see you and return to pick up their rings was very special. They have nothing but praise for everyone who has been part of their wedding journey and they said how special you made them feel. Thank you. That personal touch you give is part of the magic. X
