Frequently asked questions

Jewellery often carries the most meaningful stories, so it’s natural to have questions before choosing or commissioning a piece. If yours isn’t answered here, please get in touch — we’d be happy to help.

How do I find my ring size?

If you visit our boutique, we’ll measure your ring size free of charge. For customers further away, we recommend a set of British metal ring sizers (around £7). Plastic sizers can flex and give unreliable results, so metal is more accurate. For engagement rings or wedding rings, we can also guide you on sizing and resizing to ensure a perfect, lasting fit.

How long does delivery take?

In-stock jewellery can often be delivered the next working day. Customisations such as engraving or changing gemstones may take a few days to a few weeks depending on the work required. Bespoke engagement rings and wedding rings usually take 6–8 weeks, while unique commissions that require detailed design work can take several months. As every piece is handmade in the UK, we always provide a clear timescale before confirming your order.

Do you make jewellery with ashes?

We don’t set ashes into jewellery. Ashes cannot be melted into precious metal, and placing them into lockets or pendants risks loss or damage during wear. Instead, many clients choose to honour loved ones through bespoke designs that use symbolic gemstones or design elements, creating pieces that are both meaningful and lasting.

Do you remodel jewellery?

Yes. We remodel jewellery using gemstones that hold sentimental value. We carefully unset your stones and return the original metal to you. We don’t melt down old gold or platinum, as recycled metal should be fully refined and re-alloyed to guarantee quality. This ensures your remodelled jewellery is both durable and beautifully made, ready to be cherished for generations.

Does your jewellery come with a guarantee?

Yes. All jewellery comes with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing faults. If a fault develops, we’ll repair or replace the item free of charge. We also provide free annual check-ups to ensure your setting is secure, and updated valuations on request. Accidental damage isn’t covered, so we recommend jewellery insurance for complete protection.

Can lab-grown diamonds be used in engagement rings?

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are identical in beauty and durability to mined diamonds, while offering traceable and more sustainable origins. We source each lab-grown diamond directly from the cutter to ensure excellent quality and value. Many of our engagement and bespoke rings feature lab-grown diamonds chosen for their brilliance and ethical sourcing.

Is handmade jewellery better quality?

Handmade jewellery is often superior in quality compared to mass-produced pieces. Each piece is crafted by hand, with meticulous attention to detail at every stage. This ensures stones are securely set, the finish is flawless, and the design is built to last for generations.

Can I customise or personalise your designs?

Yes. Most of our jewellery can be customised with options such as engraving, gemstone changes, or metal choice. We also create bespoke commissions, from engagement and wedding rings to one-of-a-kind designs inspired by your story. Every customisation is crafted by hand in the UK, ensuring both personal meaning and lasting quality.

Do you only make engagement and wedding rings?

No. While we specialise in engagement rings and wedding rings, we also design bespoke jewellery for anniversaries, birthdays, remodelling projects, and any occasion where you want to celebrate love, memory, or personal meaning.
