Frequently asked questions

The jewellery from our exclusive collections are lovingly handmade in our workshop in Ayr. Days, weeks, sometimes months are spent ensuring every item is made to the highest standards. This can make how we do business a little different to other High Street jewellery shops.

Rings can be ordered in any finger size.

Unlike other jewellery shops, we don’t restrict the size you can order any ring in. You can genuinely order any ring to fit any finger size. However, because of how labour intensive it is to make each item if you order it in a specific size, you can’t return it for a refund. We have all of the items that we sell in stock for you to view in person before you commit to ordering it to be made in your specific size.
Simply order the ring of your choice, have it delivered to you next day and see if you are happy with the design. Then return it within fourteen days, either for a full refund or to be exchanged for one in your size.

If you know the finger size you want the ring to be, that’s great. If it is a letter or a number then we can convert the size you have into a UK size and make the ring for you.

If you don’t know the size then simply tell us if you want it bigger or smaller than the ring we have sent to you and we can send you our ring sizers to ensure you get the perfect fit. Not only can we make rings in any size, we can also make them in half or quarter sizes so you get the perfect fit.

We appreciate that this is different to other jewellery shops where you can order rings in specific sizes and return them but that’s why they restrict the number of sizes rings are available in. We’d rather be able to provide an excellent service to all our customers. It just means that things can take a little more time to be made just right for you. On balance we feel this is the right thing to do.

Chains and bracelets can come in any length or style.

All of our chains and bracelets can come in any size. Some changes to sizes don’t affect the price and some will but if you contact us with your preferred size we can tell you before you place your order if there will be any additional charge for the alteration.
If you have a bracelet or necklace that you really love the length of, simply measure it and let us know that this is the length you want. If you aren’t sure of the length you’d like for a bracelet, measure the size of your wrist with a soft tape measure and we will add the correct amount of links to make sure it fits perfectly.

Earrings can come with different fittings.

Some people love drop earrings, some people love studs. All of our designs can be modified to suit your personal preferences.

Here are a few frequently asked questions. If you have a different question that isn't answered here please get in touch.

Why can't my jewellery be posted to an alternative address?

If you pay by credit or debit card we have to post the items to your registered billing address. This is to ensure someone hasn't stolen your credit card details and is using it to buy jewellery through your account, and arranging it to be posted to their address. If this does happen you can make a claim of fraud with your credit card company or bank but we cannot and the banks will simply take the money back from our account meaning we have lost out on the goods, the money and the time it has taken to make the jewellery. It is a we cannot afford to take. We do however have a system in place where we can arrange to have the parcel sent to your home on a day of your choice before 1pm, including Saturdays so you can still keep the gift a surprise. The gift will come in a grey special delivery envelope with the words "unforgettable" on it so it shouldn't spoil the surprise,

If you would prefer to have a gift delivered to an alternative address we can do this if you select the option of bank payment. When you do this at the checkout, you will be given our bank details. You then use your banking app to transfer the payment and after three days clearing time, we can post to any address of your choice. If you want the gift posted outside of the UK please get in touch for a quote for the delivery costs before placing your order.

How long will my order take to be delivered?

If the item is in stock we can deliver it next day. If you want a customisation such as engraving or a change of a gemstone we can give you an estimated delivery time if you get in touch before placing your order. Some customisations can be done in a few days whereas others might take a bit longer if they require more work. Bespoke engagement and wedding rings can take around six to eight weeks whereas some commissions can take several months if there is a lot of design work needed for a really special one of a kind piece.

Do you make jewellery using ashes?

We don't make jewellery using ashes. It's not possible to melt ashes into the metal as the metal we use is alloyed before we receive it. We don't recommend putting ashes into lockets or other items that can be opened in case they get lost or damaged with wear.

Do you remodel jewellery?

We design and make jewellery using gemstones that have sentimental value but we don't use the metal that the items are set into. We unset any gemstones and return the metal to the customer. We don't melt down gold or platinum because metal should be refined and realloyed before being used to ensure that the quality of the metal can be guaranteed.

Does your jewellery have a guarantee?

We guarantee that our designs are free from any manufacturing defect and we will repair or replace an item free of charge if any defect occurs. This does not cover accidental damage and customers should insure their items to cover accidental damage or loss.

How do I find out my ring size?

If you come to our boutique we will measure you free of charge. If you don't live close enough to visit we recommend that you purchase a set of british metal ring sizers. Plastic ring sizers flex and don't give an accurate reading so you should buy metal sizers. A set of metal ring sizers costs around £7.
