Frequently asked questions

Here are a few frequently asked questions. If you have a different question that isn't answered here please get in touch.

Why can't my jewellery be posted to an alternative address?

If you pay by credit or debit card we have to post the items to your registered billing address. This is to ensure someone hasn't stolen your credit card details and is using it to buy jewellery through your account, and arranging it to be posted to their address. If this does happen you can make a claim of fraud with your credit card company or bank but we cannot and the banks will simply take the money back from our account meaning we have lost out on the goods, the money and the time it has taken to make the jewellery. It is a risk we cannot afford to take. We do however have a system in place where we can arrange to have the parcel sent to your home on a day of your choice before 1pm, including Saturdays so you can still keep the gift a surprise. The gift will come in a grey special delivery envelope with the words "unforgettable" on it so it shouldn't spoil the surprise,

If you would prefer to have a gift delivered to an alternative address we can do this if you select the option of bank payment. When you do this at the checkout, you will be given our bank details. You then use your banking app to transfer the payment and after three days clearing time, we can post to any address of your choice. If you want the gift posted outside of the UK please get in touch for a quote for the delivery costs before placing your order.

How long will my order take to be delivered?

If the item is in stock we can deliver it next day. If you want a customisation such as engraving or a change of a gemstone we can give you an estimated delivery time if you get in touch before placing your order. Some customisations can be done in a few days whereas others might take a bit longer if they require more work. Bespoke engagement and wedding rings can take around six to eight weeks whereas some commissions can take several months if there is a lot of design work needed for a really special one of a kind piece.

Do you make jewellery using ashes?

We don't make jewellery using ashes. It's not possible to melt ashes into the metal as the metal we use is alloyed before we receive it. We don't recommend putting ashes into lockets or other items that can be opened in case they get lost or damaged with wear.

Do you remodel jewellery?

We design and make jewellery using gemstones that have sentimental value but we don't use the metal that the items are set into. We unset any gemstones and return the metal to the customer. We don't melt down gold or platinum because metal should be refined and realloyed before being used to ensure that the quality of the metal can be guaranteed.

Does your jewellery have a guarantee?

We guarantee that our designs are free from any manufacturing defect and we will repair or replace an item free of charge if any defect occurs. This does not cover accidental damage and customers should insure their items to cover accidental damage or loss.

How do I find out my ring size?

If you come to our boutique we will measure you free of charge. If you don't live close enough to visit we recommend that you purchase a set of british metal ring sizers. Plastic ring sizers flex and don't give an accurate reading so you should buy metal sizers. A set of metal ring sizers costs around £7.
