The Power of Three: A Bespoke Hero Ring

When we create jewellery, we often work with the number two—representing a couple, a bond, or a balance. But for a recent visitor to Ayrshire, the number three held the key to her story.

She had travelled from the South Coast of England, searching for a second home in our beautiful county. Having discovered our work online, she arrived at the studio with a very specific vision and three precious gemstones of her own that she wanted to give a new life. 

Customising the "Hero"

The Hero Ring in our collection features two distinct cuts, symbolising strength through adversity. However, for this client, three was the significant number. She asked if we could adapt the design to include three cuts to mirror her three gemstones. 

Of course, the answer was yes.

The resulting ring is a true one-off. The silver was heated until molten, cooled into its unique rugged texture, and then carefully "damaged" with three deep cuts. Within these scars, we set her three stones, turning a piece of jewellery into a personal talisman of her journey North. 

A New Chapter in Ayrshire

It was a joy to be a small part of her transition to a new home here. Just as she is starting a new chapter in Ayrshire, her gemstones have started a new chapter in this ring—no longer hidden away, but proudly worn as a symbol of her own "Hero" story.
