A Promise Is A Seed
Promise jewellery turns words into something tangible — the start of something beautiful.
A promise is like a seed planted underground. There is nothing tangible to see until it begins to grow through actions that fulfil the intention.
Making The Invisible, Visible
When something is unseen, it is easy to forget. When we carry objects that symbolise a promise, we are reminded that they are real and one day, will become what we desire.
From a Shared Promise to Your Own
When The Promise Collection first began, it was sold with our personal promise - to plant a native tree in Scotland — a small act that made a big impact for every piece sold. This was our way of turning intention into something tangible, creating a visible impact for every piece sold.

Over time, the collection has evolved. While we no longer plant a tree for each piece, the core idea has grown even stronger: now, each wearer defines their own unique promise.
The jewellery becomes a personal reminder of whatever you choose to nurture — love, commitment, care, or a goal you hold dear.
The Idea Behind The Shape
The Promise jewellery collection is made of forms inspired by seed pods — a symbol that the seed once protected is now planted and coming to fruition.
If you follow me on social media, you might remember me sharing this picture.

This idea takes shape in the pieces from the Promise Collection, each echoing the seed pod that holds intention and meaning.

Each piece is handmade from environmentally friendly recycled silver and they are rhodium plated to make them hypoallergenic and stop them tarnishing. These are pieces of meaningful jewellery that you can wear every day.
Each piece of the Promise jewellery collection comes with a card that has space for you to write in your personal promise that the jewellery symbolises.

Inside each card it says;
A promise is like a seed. Once planted, it grows through care, trust and intention.
This piece is a silver seed pod, a symbol that a seed has been planted and a promise has begun.

There is a space for you to write the promise that you are going to keep.
Each piece of jewellery from this collection can be given to someone you care about or as a gift to yourself, making the invisible promise visible.
Promises To The People You Love
There are many reasons why someone might gift a piece of promise jewellery.
For A New Baby
When a child is born, whether it is your child, your grandchild, a niece or nephew or even a child of a very close friend, you might make a secret promise to them, one that stays in your heart but is never shared. Giving a handwritten promise and a piece of jewellery that the child can discover when they are older is a very special gift.
For A Partner
In relationships, we make important promises and when we argue, it is easy to forget what was said in moments filled with love. A symbolic piece of jewellery is more than just pretty words that pass. It declares that the promise will be fulfilled.
For Yourself
How often have you made a promise to yourself and how often have you forgotten that intention or decided to ignore it because you have strayed from what you planned?
A promise made to yourself is very important and a physical object that you wear and the card that you wrote to yourself guide you back to where you wanted to go.
These physcial objects do not disappear and they remind you that your goals can still be achieved. You just have to keep going until you get there.

For A Friend
A gift from the Promise collection for a friend can be the difference between them calling for help or struggling in silence. If your promise is to be there for them if they need you, that necklace, bracelet or earrings will remind them each day that they are not alone.
You may make other promises, to support them in their goals, to make time for them, to keep their secrets safe. Whatever the unique promise is, the physical symbol makes it more real and acts as a constant reminder that they are loved.

How Promises Shape Our Future
Promises are what we build the future with. Just as our past experiences shape how we see the world, our expectations of the future help us decide where we are going — and who we are taking with us.
Promises And Trust
Promises connect us across time and space, creating bonds that guide our actions and shape our relationships.

The Science Behind Promises
Science shows that promises are more than just words. Fulfilling a promise activates areas of the brain linked to trust, reward, and social bonding. It releases oxytocin, often called the “bonding hormone,” which deepens emotional attachment and strengthens connections. Promises are also a tool for planning: they help us commit to long-term goals, align our actions with our intentions, and provide a framework for living with purpose.

Every day, we make promises to the people around us — and to ourselves. Wedding vows remain one of the most celebrated examples, often focusing on love, loyalty, and support “for better or worse.” In daily life, promises might be as simple as keeping a secret, showing up for a friend, or being present for a loved one. Equally important are the promises we make to ourselves: to grow, to care for our wellbeing, or to pursue our dreams. Research shows that keeping promises to ourselves is crucial for building self-trust, confidence, and resilience.

Promises are more than words — they are living things. And like a seed, tended with care, they help love grow.
