Scotland is full of magical places.

Jules Verne wrote The Green Ray and set it in the west of Scotland.

The islands here are full of incredible natural beauty. The story features the search for the green ray, a flash of green light that occasionally appears just as the sun is setting. If you see the green ray, you will know what is in your own heart and the heart of others. The main character refuses to get married until she sees the green ray.

Finally, the green ray makes its appearance on the Isle of Staffa but the couple are so much in love, staring into each other's eyes, they miss it.

Our customer wanted a wide platinum wedding ring that wasn't a plain band. She wanted a contemporary Scottish design.

Christopher showed her my Honeycomb ring in 18ct and suggested that we make it without the bee and in platinum, raising a section so that the hexagonal shapes looked more like the rocks on Staffa.

This completely changes the design and has given it a new and unique meaning.

Our customer also further personalised the design by requesting that diamonds she owned were set into the ring.

I absolutely love how this wedding ring design has evolved and the connection it now has with Scotland. A truly special platinum and diamond wedding ring that speaks from the heart.
