A Blue Diamond Right-Hand Ring: A Commission Story

Sometimes a gemstone speaks before words can. This was exactly the case when one of our customers spotted a one-carat oval blue diamond in a short video on our Facebook page. Captivated by its depth and colour, she knew she had to see it in person.

She visited our Ayr studio, and the diamond’s sparkle did not disappoint. Inspired by its striking hue, she chose to have it set in a platinum three-stone ring — flanked on either side by round white diamonds for contrast and brilliance. The result is a piece that is at once bold and serene, a reflection of her own style and the story she wanted to tell.

The Choice of Blue

Choosing a blue diamond for a right-hand ring is a subtle statement: a celebration of self-expression, love for colour, and an appreciation for craftsmanship. This piece is a gift to oneself, a reminder of beauty, strength, and individuality.

The Three-Stone Design

The three-stone setting carries its own symbolism: past, present, and future. In this design, the central blue diamond represents the core of the wearer’s story, with the two white diamonds highlighting its brilliance. The platinum band provides a cool, modern backdrop, letting the stones speak for themselves.

Why It’s Special

This ring is more than a gemstone — it’s a story captured in precious materials. It celebrates the wearer, the moment, and the connection between personal style and meaningful jewellery. Right-hand rings, in particular, allow for personal expression without convention, making them perfect for celebrating oneself.
