A Lovelight Wedding Ring Commission — Designed Around Her Story

A Lovelight Wedding Ring Commission — Designed Around Her Story

When this customer first got in touch with us, she had already discovered the Lovelight design on Pinterest. She loved the idea immediately — a wedding ring that appears beautifully simple from above, while holding its sparkle discreetly along the side.

But she also had something personal in mind.

Her engagement ring features a blue diamond, so she wanted her wedding ring to complement it in a meaningful way. Together, we explored how the Lovelight design could be adapted to create a unique version for her — one that would echo the colour of her engagement ring while still feeling timeless.

A subtle pattern of blue and white diamonds

The solution was a Lovelight ring set with alternating blue and white diamonds along the side of the band.

This approach allowed the ring to connect visually with her blue diamond engagement ring while keeping the elegant restraint that defines the Lovelight design. The diamonds are only visible as the ring moves and catches the light, creating moments of sparkle that feel personal to the wearer.

It’s a detail that feels both contemporary and full of character — a small but powerful way to make a wedding ring truly your own.

Choosing the right width

At the beginning of the process, she thought she might like a 5mm or 6mm wide wedding ring. We encourage customers not to rush into decisions and after thinking about options, she decided to go for a 4mm width to create a more balanced look. It would still feel substantial, but sit more comfortably alongside her engagement ring.

Commissioned entirely online

Although she lives in England, the entire commission was organised remotely.

We discussed the design, proportions, and details together online, allowing her to feel confident in the final piece before it was made. To ensure the perfect fit, the ring was first created without the diamonds and sent to her so she could check the finger size. She returned the ring to us and we set the alternating blue and white diamonds.

Many of our commissions now happen this way — combining personal guidance with the convenience of working together from wherever you are. We have developed a way of working online that offers the same thoughtful, personal service our customers experience when visiting our studio.

And the result was a Lovelight ring created especially for her.

Her reaction

When the ring arrived, she shared this message on our Facebook page:

“I absolutely adore my ring 💎💍🥰
Thankyou Christine we have never met but I certainly will visit you in the future.
Christine provided exceptional customer service from start to finish and certainly didn’t disappoint.
Amazing thankyou sooo much Christine xxxx”

Messages like this mean a great deal to us. Jewellery is deeply personal, and being trusted to create something so meaningful — even by someone we have not yet met in person — is always a privilege.

A wedding ring that reflects your story

One of the most beautiful things about the Lovelight design is how easily it can be personalised. Small choices — like the colour of the diamonds or the exact width of the band — allow each ring to reflect the person who will wear it.

This commission became a perfect example of that idea: a ring designed to complement an engagement ring she already loved, while adding a distinctive detail that makes it uniquely hers.

If you’ve seen the Lovelight ring and are wondering how it might be adapted for you, we’re always happy to talk through the possibilities and help you shape a version that fits your story.
