Description
This elegant radiant cut moissanite ring is a very contemporary design. The gemstone is set going across the finger instead of the traditional angle. This makes the stone look larger as it covers more of the finger width wise but doesn't take up too much room from the knuckle to the finger joint, allowing other rings to be stacked next to it, such as a wedding and eternity ring. The setting has a raised crossover design to the claws and this also means another straight band can sit next to it without needing shaping.
This design can come in white or yellow gold as well as the platinum one photographed here.
A radiant cut gemstone is rectangular but it has more facets than a step or emerald cut. This gives it more life. The moissanite measures 7mm by 5mm. It is approximately one carat and a fantastic price for a designer handmade engagement ring.
Moissanite is a laboratory grown gemstone which means it has not been mined, making it a more environmentally friendly alternative to a diamond. Moissanite has a higher refractive index than diamond which means that light travels faster through it giving it even more sparkle.
