Slingshot by Christine Sadler
There is something intrinsically playful about slingshots. They are associated with mischief makers and laughter. This design which holds a trillion cut gemstone very securely has a sense of fun. One curved edge of the stone is cupped by the metal with a V shaped claw opposite. It looks poised to launch and protect the wearer. The inspiration for this design was to create something using stones that would act as a symbol of protection and a slingshot was the perfect creative solution.
This is a 9ct white gold pendant, earring and ring set which has a trillion cut amethyst set by hand in each piece.
In the bail of the pendant, there are three round brilliant cut diamonds. It is on a very strong 9ct white gold curb chain. The amethyst is a 6mm trillion cut and weighs approximately 0.75ct
The ring is handmade in 9ct white gold, set with a 6mm trillion cut amethyst approximately 0.75ct with six round brilliant cut diamonds set in the shoulders, three on each side of the centre stone. The diamonds are G colour VS clarity and measure 0.02ct each giving the ring a total diamond carat weight of 0.12ct.
The earrings are handmade in 9ct white gold and have a 6mm trillion cut amethyst in each one. Total carat weight of approximately 1.5ct.
The Slingshot collection is available exclusively from Christine Sadler.
The pendant, earrings and ring are available separately or as a set.
