This is a very special Scottish diamond ring, designed by Christine Sadler, inspired by Tartan.

"The inspiration for this collection was the Isle of Bute. The name of the island may come from an old Irish word meaning "fire" which is perfect for a diamond.

I wanted the centre diamond to look like a rock rising out of a Scottish sea. The setting of the centre princess cut diamond holds the main stone above the checkered Argyll pattern of watery blue diamonds below. There are ten princess cut blue diamonds set in 18ct white gold. The centre diamond is a 0.74ct GIA certificated G colour VS1 princess cut. The total carat weight of the diamonds in this ring is 1.24ct. 

This design could come with white diamonds below the centre stone and with a coloured stone in the centre which would give it an entirely different look.
