This is a very special diamond ring designed by Christine Sadler.
The inspiration for this collection was the Isle of Bute. The name of the island may come from an old Irish word meaning "fire" which is perfect for a diamond.
The idea was to make the centre stone look like a rock rising out of the sea. The setting of the centre princess cut stone holds the main stone above the checkered Argyll pattern of gemstones below. There are ten princess cut diamonds set in platinum. The centre stone is a absolutely breathtaking orange sapphire that measures 5.5mm square.
This design can be commissioned with your choice of gemstones set into any precious metal if you would like to create your own unique tartan ring.
