The Fairypools Collection - Where water becomes light.

Inspired by the magical landscape of the Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye, this collection captures the moment when water gathers in still, clear pools before spilling over into a rushing cascade. Each piece tells that story in miniature — a landscape distilled into light, movement, and form.

At the heart of every design is a central round gemstone, symbolising the calm depth of a pool. On one side, smaller stones increase in size, flowing towards the centre as if drawn by the current. The effect is gentle yet dynamic — a reminder of how beauty often comes from movement and change.
The Fairypools ring is especially distinctive for its asymmetric design. One shoulder is plain and smooth, holding the centre stone in a claw setting. The opposite side is alive with diamonds, each one held in an individual rubover bubble setting, forming a crescent of shimmering drops. Side on, you can see the table, girdle, and culet of the centre stone — as if it’s suspended in water, tension-set by the flow of light itself.
The diamonds on the shoulder are castle set, a rare and intricate technique that creates a rhythmic sparkle.
This combination of setting styles — claw, bubble, and castle — within a single piece is unusual and intentional. It reflects the way the Fairy Pools themselves shift between stillness and motion, rock and water, light and shadow.
Over time, the collection has been recreated in different gemstones and metals, each chosen to echo the landscape’s changing moods —

cool blue and green sapphires,

lab and natural diamonds,
intense pink sapphire,
and garnet, alive with the warmth and vitality for which it has long been cherished

Each one is unique, and some have been commissioned as birthstone pieces, including a blue diamond pendant celebrating the birth of a baby boy, and a garnet ring and necklace set marking a special moment in time.

The Place That Inspired It
The Fairy Pools lie at the foot of the Black Cuillin mountains on the Isle of Skye. Fed by crystal-clear streams and surrounded by wild moorland, they are known for their luminous blue-green colour — so pure it seems lit from within. Local legend tells of fairies and spirits drawn to the pools’ beauty, their reflections dancing across the surface on still days.
To stand beside them is to feel the magic of Scotland’s untamed landscape — vast, ancient, and alive with story. Translating that scale of wonder into jewellery feels almost like something from a fantasy novel — a small, wearable world of light and motion that connects the wearer to something timeless and extraordinary.
Watch the Fairy Pools come to life in this short film by Scottish Mountain Goat, capturing the landscape that inspired the collection.
