This is a really exceptional princess cut natural diamond engagement ring handmade in platinum. The north, south, east, west claw setting makes the square shape of the diamond really eye catching. It is set with corner claws which protect the delicate corners of the stone and follow the clean lines of the stone. Corner claws are also more secure than round claws because the metal is pushed across the stone in two directions rather than having one prong of metal on the stone. The diamond has a Canadamark which guarantees that the diamond has been mined in Canada. The mine of origin is Ekati/Diavik which is Canada's first surface and underground diamond mine. It is located 310 km (190 mi) north-east of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and about 200 km (120 mi) south of the Arctic Circle, near Lac de Gras.

When this diamond was mined before cutting it was 1.14ct and its finished polished weight is 0.76ct. It is G colour SI1 clarity and it is perfectly square which is incredibly rare as many square stones are not cut so symmetrically.
