This is such an interesting wedding ring. It highlights the subtle difference in shade between platinum and silver. Silver is a warm white, whereas platinum is a greyer white when matt finished. Having the majority of the ring in silver with a platinum sleeve on top is a very tricky design to fabricate but it makes the ring more affordable than if it was made of just platinum. Both metals have to be heated to precise temperatures for them to be soldered together and held in place while this is done. This is a highly skilled task as both metals melt at very different temperatures. Having the top centre of the ring in platinum means this ring design is very hard wearing. This ring design combines beauty, craftmanship and practicality. The perfect marriage of form and function. 

This ring is 6mm wide and the platinum sleeve is 3.5mm wide.

This design can come in any width and with any combination of precious metals. The centre can be engraved with a phrase or roman numbers or set with gemstones. There are lots of different ways this design can be customised if you want to make it unique.
