A Cairn is a Scottish word to describe a tower of stacked stones. Cairns are usually found on highland paths and sometimes have stones which jut out to mark the way. The Cairn collection is a handmade collection of jewellery that allows the wearer to mark their own unique journey with gemstones. This collection is often bought for graduations, anniversaries, weddings or to represent family and friends.

This beautful necklace has two stacking stones. One pendant is a handmade 9ct rose gold circle set with an amethyst and the other is a handmade 9ct white gold circle set with a pink sapphire. Each of the pendants measures 5mm in diameter and each of the stones measures 3.5mm in diameter. The pendants hangs on a 45cm long 9ct white gold chain. Other chain lengths are available by request.

Pink sapphire is a beautiful gemstone. This gemstone has a deep intense shade of pink with the sparkle you would expect from a sapphire. Sapphires come in many different shades and the colour is determined by the trace elements found inside the gem. The amethyst has a rich deep colour that complements the warmth of the sapphire and the rose gold. This pink and purple combination is wam and joyful.

This necklace could represent two people that have a special bond, or children born in the months of February and September. It is also an ideal gift for a sapphire wedding annivarsary which is 45 years. 

A piece of jewellery with two stones is sometimes referred to as Toi et Moi, a French tradition started in the 18th century by Napoleon who gave Josephine a two stone ring.
