These gorgeous teal apatite gemstone earrings are by Spanish jewellery designer Jorge Revilla.

We love the tribal feeling that the stacking design of these gemstones creates. A 4mm round cut apatite sits on top of a marquise cut apatite, 6mm by 3mm, which is orientated side on and at the bottom, the earring finishes with a pear cut which measures 6mm by 4mm. The total length of the earrings are 15mm and they are 7.5mm wide. 

The earrings are sterling silver and have been gold plated to give warmth to this design. The gold and caribbean blue colour combination has a joyful personality. 

Apatite is a beautiful gemstone that needs to be treated with care. It has a hardness of 5 which makes it much softer than other gemstones but harder than pearls. Apatite should not be cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner, just with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. It is advised not to have any acid near the stone so avoid spraying perfume directly onto the stone. A good rule is always to put your jewellery on last, after you have put make up and perfume on. 

As with all gold plated jewellery, it is essential to be extra careful and avoid scratching pieces or getting them wet with perfume, anything acidic, swimming pools or santiser to keep them looking their best.
