Birthstone Jewellery Gift Ideas

Birthstones are a beautiful way to personalise a piece of jewellery. Any of our designs can be customised to add a birthstone or you can commission a piece of unforgettable jewellery with several birthstones reepresenting the people you love.

The birthstone for January is garnet. It can come in a reddish brown colour, an orange, pink, or even a vibrant green colour. For a very special birthday gift, one of our customers commissioned a ring and pendant from the Fairypools collection of jewellery set with garnet and diamonds in platinum.

The birthstone for February is Amethyst. Amethyst is a purple gemstone that can have pink or blue flashes. It comes in all shades from very pale to deep and intense. This is a platinum ring from the Tartan ring collection set with Amethysts and Aquamarines. The Tartan collection can be customised to make a colour combination that you love that represents your family.

The birthstone for April is diamond. A diamond band is a great choice for an April birthday gift. A slim band you can stack next to other rings can be a very versatile gift that you can wear everyday. Choose all diamond or customise our designs with gemstones to represent family members or anniversaries.

Emeralds are always green but they come in lots of different shades and tones. Emeralds are fragile and need extra care when worn but they are ideal as earrings and pendants where they are less likely to take a knock or be damaged.

The birthstone for July is Ruby. Ruby is acutally a sapphire but when a sapphire is red, it is called a Ruby. It's hard and very durable and ideal as a ring that is worn every day. This handmade gold and ruby ring can also be commissioned in platinum.

The birthstone for August is peridot. It's an olive green colour. It looks beautiful on its own or paired with diamonds or aquamarines.

They are most well known for being blue but are equally beautiful in other colours. In our Hundreds and Thousands ring design, we set different coloured gemstones for a bright, celebratory feel. You can commission these designs with gemstone colour combinations of your choice. 

The birthstone for October is tourmaline. Tourmaline comes in the most stunning shades of red, green, pink and blue. This pink tourmaline necklace in rose gold is a gorgeous gift that can be worn as it is and also have additional gemstones stacked next to it in the future.
