An 18ct yellow gold ring made to replace one that was lost

One of my customers lost her wedding ring that she bought in the 1970's. She wanted to get something to replace it but couldn't find one anywhere that was the ring shape or weight. She wanted the ring to be really heavy and to have twelve facets on each edge so it looked like a threepenny bit shape side on but she wanted the middle section to be totally flat and raised. We made a version of the ring in silver to show her and when she was happy with it, we made the ring in 18ct yellow gold. This additional service of making the ring in silver first meant she was confident to say if she wanted any changes to the design and we were able to be sure that she was 100% happy with the final ring.
