Fairylights: A Modern Jewellery Collection Inspired by Christmas Lights
This elegant new diamond and sapphire ring marks the beginning of our Fairylights Collection — a contemporary jewellery series inspired by the timeless magic of Christmas lights.
Created by remodelling a customer’s old diamonds and combining them with a deep blue sapphire, this design transforms sentimental stones into something new, capturing both memory and sparkle.
The Fairylights Collection takes inspiration from a beloved festive ritual — unrolling the Christmas tree lights, untangling the strings, and watching them glow once more.
That gentle, familiar sparkle has become a symbol of connection, nostalgia, and the quiet excitement of the season.
I had been working on this design when my customer asked me to remodel her original engagement ring. I showed her this idea and offered to make a simplified version for her ring.
Each Fairylights design features criss-cross bands of gold or platinum, set with diamonds and coloured gemstones that shimmer like strands of light.
The result is jewellery that feels joyful, modern, and full of meaning — perfect for anyone looking for a unique Christmas gift idea or a piece that celebrates a personal story.
This remodelled ring is the first in the collection, and more designs will be revealed soon.
