Handmade stag kilt pin for a husband and two sons

Posted on

I was commissioned to make a kilt pin for a man. His wife wanted a very special kilt pin in the shape of a stag that could be changed in the future so that her two sons could have smaller kilt pins made from this piece.

I designed the pin with the idea that some of the antlers could be cut off to make two smaller pins and that the original kilt pin would still look great. The kilt pin is made by hand in sterling silver.

This is how the kilt pin will look in the future once two sections of the antlers are removed.

This is how the two pins will look that will be given to her two sons.

This is a really special way to create a family heirloom.
