A couple emailed and asked me to design an engagement and wedding ring set with a blue sapphire, blue topazes and diamonds.
I created drawings of four different designs inspired by their brief to have something that symbolises protection.
The engagement ring is a continuous loop symbolising eternity. The sapphire is held in a cupped setting like hands holding it. There are two blue topazes set next to the sapphire and a diamond on either side of each topaz. The wedding ring is made to fit perfectly with the engagement ring. It is held and protected by the engagement ring.
