Chrome tourmaline is extremely rare and exceptionally beautiful. This unique ring would make a stunning engagement ring or right hand ring.
The oval cut chrome green tourmaline is 9.5mm by 6.5mm and weights 1.69ct. The cut of this stone is very special. It has a traditional oval cut on top but underneath it has a modified checkerboard cut that creates trapezoid flashes of alternating bright and deep greens. The intensity of colour in this particular gemstone is highlighted by the clean lines of this platinum ring design which embraces the stone at either end in a single rounded claw. This design makes the ring perfect for wearing everyday as the smooth claws hold the stone securely and don't catch on anything. The partial rubbed over design has a U shaped opening that shows the beauty of the stone when viewed side on. The shoulders of the ring are set with round brilliant cut diamonds providing a beautiful contrast to the rich deep green. The ring is photographed before and after the diamonds were set. Handmaking a ring this special takes time and the ring goes through several quality control checks before it is ready for sale. This ring is a finger size M but if it was needed in a different size, the centre stone would be unset and a new ring would be made free of charge.
This is an elegant contemporary engagement ring design that will never date.
