Bella Figura Ditali bangle
Bella Figura by Christine Sadler
The Bella Figura collection is a celebration of the beauty of the shapes of pasta, many of which were designed by women and the techniques passed down through generations from mother to daughter.
Ditali and ditalini are short tubes of pasta, roughly the same length as they are wide. Their name comes from the word ditale meaning thimbles. They are also called coralli, meaning coral because they look like beads from a necklace. Their shape is so suited to jewellery making that this is one of the shapes of dried pasta often used to make necklaces.
The Ditali bangle is a fabulous kinetic design which features a moving section that rolls back and forth and spins all the way round making it irresistible to play with. The Ditali section has horizontal lines carved into it which gives it a beautiful texture that contrasts with the smooth round profile of the bangle.
The bangle can be handmade to any size and you can choose to have your silver bangle with a silver, 9ct rose gold or yellow gold Ditali. These bangles can be worn individually or stacked up together.
The Ditali measures 6mm x 6mm and the silver bangle section is 3mm round.
