A mobius strip is a three dimensional object with only one side. It was discovered independently by the German mathematicians August Ferdinand Mobius and Johann Benedict Listing in 1858. If you put your finger on the surface you can trace all surfaces without going over an edge. It has become a symbol for eternity because of its unique shape.
